Lucius AI — Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 25, 2026
1. Who We Are
This notice is issued by Testing Mavens LLC ("we," "us"), located at 371 Hoes Lane, Suite 200, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Testing Mavens LLC operates Lucius AI, an AI-powered software testing agent (the "Service"), and this notice describes how we handle personal information in connection with it. Contact us at privacy@testingmavens.com with any questions.
This notice should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
Name, email address, and login details when you create an account.
Content you provide ("Input") and generated output ("Output")
Scenarios, prompts, and instructions you give the Service; recordings of actions you take in your application; and the test code, reports, and other results the Service generates for you.
Execution data — this may include real personal information
When the Service runs a test, it may capture video, screenshots, and Playwright traces of what happened on screen. If you test against a production environment, this data may include real end-user personal information visible in your application at the time. You control which environments you test, and we recommend using synthetic or de-identified data where practical, particularly for production testing.
Repository content
If you connect a Git provider, we access the repositories you select, solely to sync generated test code and related files.
Technical data
IP address, browser and device information, and usage/log data collected automatically as you use the Service.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service — generate tests, run them, and show you results.
- To maintain your account and respond to support requests.
- To secure the Service and prevent abuse or unauthorized access.
- To improve the Service, including understanding usage patterns.
4. AI Model Training
We do not use your Input, Output, recordings, or repository content to improve our system or AI agents by default. If you choose to opt in by enabling this setting in your account, you can support us in improving the performance, reliability, and capabilities of our system and agents. This is off by default. You can enable or disable this option at any time in your account settings.
5. How We Share Information
We share information with:
- Infrastructure and AI/LLM providers who help us run the Service, under confidentiality and data-processing obligations.
- Git hosting providers you choose to connect, to the extent necessary to sync your code.
- Professional advisors, regulators, or authorities where required by law.
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary payment. Depending on how analytics or similar technologies are configured, certain data practices could be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some U.S. state privacy laws. Where that applies, the Cookies section below explains your choices.
If you are an Enterprise customer and need a data processing agreement, contact us and we will work with you directly.
6. International Data Transfers
We serve customers globally and currently host data in the United States. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or another region with data-transfer restrictions, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum) for transfers of your personal information to the United States.
7. Data Retention
Execution artifacts (video, traces, screenshots, reports): retained until you delete them.
Everything else: retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice, and no longer than required by applicable law. You can request deletion at any time — see Section 9.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
A reminder for your own security: avoid embedding real, live credentials directly into recorded test steps. Use the parameterization features in the Service instead.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@testingmavens.com. Where self-service tools for these actions are available directly in the Service, you may also use those.
We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, and may use them for analytics to understand how the Service is used. Depending on how these technologies are configured, this could be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain U.S. state privacy laws. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings, or contact us at privacy@testingmavens.com with questions or requests.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
